What are Honorlock and Proctorio?

Honorlock and Proctorio are remote online exam proctoring tools used to monitor tests in Canvas-based courses.

Proctorio is our current platform, which records and flags activity during online exams.

Beginning Summer 2026, Utah Tech University will transition to Honorlock, a similar service that offers enhanced features—including exam-content leak monitoring and takedown for faculty, to help further protect academic integrity.
